Football, groundbreaking, ribbon cuttings and more marked the busy week, seen here in images captured by UND photographers
Editor’s note:Last week, UND videographers took a 360-degree camera to various Homecoming events to provide a “VR experience” of the week. The video that resulted is above; a viewer can use their cursor to move around the video, or in theory, watch using a VR headset.
The video will also play as a normal YouTube video.

Since the University’s first Homecoming celebration in 1916, UND and Grand Forks have hosted dozens of parades, hundreds of events and many thousands of fans, all of them celebrating the tradition of welcoming back alumni and other supporters of the University.
This year was no exception. UND’s Homecoming 2023 featured groundbreaking for Memorial Village II and Albrecht Field, a pep rally in downtown Grand Forks, the annual Alumni Honors Banquet, the public launch of the Forever UND campaign and ribbon cuttings for the new Experiential Learning Center and Wilkerson Quad.
Then on Saturday came the Homecoming Parade on University Avenue, and to top everything off, a 49-10 victory by the UND football team over Western Illinois.
Featured here are a selection of photos by UND photographers that capture the spirit of the week. Enjoy!
