UND to celebrate Black History Month

Events during February include a lecture on Rosa Parks, and a panel of Black students talking about their experiences at UND

Throughout the month of February, UND Student Diversity & Inclusion will be hosting events for students, staff and faculty in recognition of Black History Month.

Events specifically open to staff and faculty include:

Feb. 13: Lecture on Civil Rights icon Rosa Parks by Art Malloy, vice president for Student Affairs.

       • The lecture will be held in the Memorial Union Gallery, Room 140, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Feb. 22: A Black Student Experience Panel hosted by UND’s African Student Union.

       • A panel of Black students will speak about their experience at UND. The event will take place in Memorial Union 201 from 1 to 2 p.m.

Feb. 24: Folk musician Hubby Jenkins in concert at the North Dakota Museum of Art, starting at 2 p.m.
