President Armacost talks with co-chairs of Strategic Plan Implementation Committee about UND LEADS in action

Ryan Zerr and Mike Wozniak join President Andrew Armacost for an update on the UND LEADS Strategic Plan in this week’s video address.

Zerr, associate vice president for Strategy & Implementation, and Wozniak, coordinator of leadership and programming for Student Involvement & Parent Programs, co-chair UND’s Strategic Plan Implementation Committee.

This team of 15 people represents UND’s shared governance bodies and facilitates the communication and work of the plan. But, as Zerr puts it, everyone on campus has a hand in bringing UND LEADS to life.

Armacost asks the pair about achievements since the plan’s launch in January 2023, how the team is collecting data and how they plan to use that information going forward.

The team has spent time with people across campus to learn more about how their activities already may contribute to the plan, Wozniak says. The team also has introduced monthly special editions of UND Today, each of which focuses on one core value.

Wozniak also notes that a dashboard soon will be publicly available to monitor the progress within each core value on UND LEADS-related goals.

The idea of collecting data around the strategic plan is to not only track progress but to also help expand UND’s profile and give people on campus opportunities to collaborate and coalesce efforts around UND LEADS.

The webpage for UND LEADS is the one-stop-shop for all things strategic plan, Zerr says, and the monthly UND Today special editions are a great way to keep up with the implementation team’s priorities.

Armacost encourages the UND community to consider the vision and mission of the plan — that the pillars together give us all something to work toward.
