Coming soon: Metrics to measure impact of UND LEADS Strategic Plan

Goal is to create ‘consistent and repeatable way to understand our institutional growth over time,’ Associate VP Ryan Zerr writes

UND LEADSBy Ryan Zeer

The LEADS Activity Inventory provides one perspective on our campuswide strategic plan implementation progress (see the related article that was published in last month’s UND LEADS Special Edition of UND Today).  Through the inventory, we are able to see the ways our efforts are aligned with and contribute to the LEADS strategic plan.

Another perspective on the matter of implementation’s progress concerns outcomes from our work.  In what ways might we measure or understand the impacts stemming from our efforts?

To help address these questions, the LEADS Implementation Team has begun assembling a collection of information and metrics which have connections to the strategic priorities of LEADS.  The result is a growing library of information that will help us measure progress and celebrate accomplishments.

It’s a bit too soon to draw any conclusions or report specific results, but the goal is to create a consistent and repeatable way to understand our institutional growth over time.  And through that understanding, we will be able to identify success stories, make note of areas that may need additional attention and help ensure UND LEADS remains dynamic and relevant well into the future.
