VIDEO: Building community in STEM with UCW+

Latest video message from President Armacost previews upcoming breakfast, panel hosted by University Council for Women+

President Armacost sits down with Paula Cox, Honors Program Associate and co-chair for the University Council for Women+, in this week’s video.

The two discuss an upcoming UCW+ event: an April 14 breakfast and panel to be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Memorial Union.

Cox says the theme of the gathering is “Community Building in STEM,” with the idea of bringing people together from different backgrounds and exploring ways to create community on campus. Virtual participation will also be available.

Armacost asks Cox about UCW+, an organization made up of faculty, staff and graduate students that hosts opportunities for education, leadership development and networking. As its name implies, all are welcome to attend UCW+ events.

Registration for the April 14 breakfast is open through the end of the month. Past events and more information on UCW+ is available on the organization’s website.
