For fellow students, two words of advice from Madilyn Lee, a Leader in Action with multiple executive roles on campus: Get involved<\/strong><\/p>\n

For Madilyn Lee, failure has never been the end of the road\u00a0<\/span>\u2014<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>it\u2019s<\/span>\u00a0been the fuel that pushed her toward something greater.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Her time at UND has been defined by action,\u00a0<\/span>resilience<\/span> and a commitment to making a difference.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Now, as she prepares for law school, she carries with her the belief that leadership\u00a0<\/span>isn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0about avoiding failure, but rather embracing it, learning from\u00a0<\/span>it<\/span>\u00a0and using it to open new doors\u00a0<\/span>\u2014<\/span>\u00a0for herself and those around her.\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Growing up in the area, Madilyn\u00a0<\/span>set\u00a0<\/span>her sights\u00a0<\/span>on leaving for a big university after high school.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u00a0<\/span>didn\u2019t<\/span>\u00a0want to come to UND initially. I was very against it in high school,\u201d she admitted. \u201cI had friends going to big schools, and I wanted to be like them.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

But when the time came to choose, the\u00a0<\/span>affordable tuition and\u00a0<\/span>the\u00a0<\/span>scholarship<\/span>s\u00a0<\/span>she received\u00a0<\/span>became the deciding factor<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>\u2014<\/span>\u00a0leading her to a university that would\u00a0<\/span>ultimately shape<\/span>\u00a0her in ways she never expected.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
