Energy &amp; Environmental Research Center employees without an @UND.edu address will need to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/und.teamdynamix.com\/TDClient\/2048\/IT\/Requests\/ServiceDet?ID=32622\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submit a ticket to UIT<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0to gain access.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/campus.und.edu\/equal-opportunity\/deque-university-training.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>The Equal Opportunity &amp; Title IX website provides step-by-step guidance<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on how to log in, verify one\u2019s account and access the full curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Deque University provides training to help address everything from the fundamentals of web accessibility to formatting individual document types, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PDF.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership is part of a wider University effort to meet digital accessibility requirements for\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ada.gov\/resources\/2024-03-08-web-rule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Title II of the Americans with Disability Act<\/a><\/strong>, set to take effect in April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>By default, all users will have access to Deque\u2019s full curriculum. Given the extensive selection, UND has created custom learning pathways that can be subscribed to upon request.<\/p>\n<p>Recommended to all employees is the \u201cFast Track for Any Role\u201d course, which addresses key terms and provides a general, high-level understanding of what makes digital content accessible. Modules are video-based, and most videos are between one to three minutes in length.<\/p>\n<p>Other custom pathways from UND address specific programs and document types.<\/p>\n<p>After following\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/campus.und.edu\/equal-opportunity\/deque-university-training.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the instructions to log in<\/a><\/strong>, please contact\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:helpdesk@deque.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">helpdesk@deque.com<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0if issues with logging in persist. If an employee does not have access to courses after logging in, they should contact Beth Valentine at\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:beth.valentine@UND.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">beth.valentine@UND.edu<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As a reminder, UND\u2019s Teaching Transformation &amp; Development Academy\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/und.edu\/academics\/ttada\/academic-technologies\/accessible-content\/workshops-and-training.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">offers several workshops and training sessions<\/a><\/strong>, both live and through recordings, pertaining to best practices and instructional design.
