For the second year in a row, UND has set an all-time enrollment record, continuing a seven-year stretch of growth.<\/p>\n

According to Census Day numbers, UND enrolled 15,908 students this fall, adding 64 students to last year\u2019s recording-breaking enrollment, making this the largest student body in University history.<\/p>\n

The latest numbers continue a historic run for UND enrollment. The University enrolled 15,844 students in the fall of 2025, surpassing an enrollment record dating back to 2012. Last year\u2019s record was bolstered by an incoming freshman class of 2,508 students, reflecting a 7.3% increase in undergraduate enrollment.<\/p>\n

UND\u2019s record enrollment is being fueled by a series of historically large incoming classes. The University\u2019s largest, third-largest and fourth-largest freshman cohorts are all currently making their way through UND. Student retention remains strong at 82%, just one percentage point below last year’s 83% rate.<\/p>\n

With another record-setting year, UND enters the 2026-27 academic year with more students than ever before.<\/p>\n
