Welcome Weekend 2023 gives students ‘informal but informative’ introduction to college life

As UND’s Welcome Weekend website put it, “Welcome to the UND family.”
Welcome Weekend 2023 at UND took place Aug. 19-21. During the weekend, activities were designed to help students feel at home on campus. The idea was to provide essential information needed to make a successful transition to university life; plus, UND student ambassadors were on hand to lead new students in exploring UND.
Students attending Welcome Weekend were given information about classes, faculty and campus, got to meet other new students at UND, were able to ask questions of current students and got acquainted with campus and the Greater Grand Forks community.
In short, Welcome Weekend gave new students “an informal but informative introduction to college life and the opportunity to meet new people and enjoy activities,” the Welcome Weekend website continues.
