Game Time

Earlier today, the UND and mStoner project teams came together for the official project kick-off meeting.

The meeting was highlighted by President Kennedy sharing his expectations and vision for the project. He reiterated the goals of wanting UND’s new website to be aesthetically pleasing, easy to navigate and mobile friendly, but also expressed his desire to go beyond ordinary. First, he sees the primary purpose of our website as a recruiting tool.  We must receive a payback on this investment by having more students apply, leading to higher enrollment and higher quality students. Second, he expects us (the campus at large) to be more disciplined and purposeful in the way we present ourselves online. Our website is our virtual front door and it must effectively present the ideals and messages that we wish to share with the world.

The next step is to develop a plan for the discovery phase of the project. mStoner will host a series of on campus discovery sessions to garner information primarily related to functional needs and requirements. It is expected that the Marketing Council, Administration, IT professionals, and select faculty, staff and students will participate in the discovery sessions.
