{"id":1512,"date":"2021-06-11T10:06:35","date_gmt":"2021-06-11T15:06:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.und.edu\/web-redesign\/?p=1512"},"modified":"2023-09-19T10:38:40","modified_gmt":"2023-09-19T15:38:40","slug":"event-calendar-guidelines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.und.edu\/web-redesign\/2021\/06\/event-calendar-guidelines\/","title":{"rendered":"UND Event Calendar Guidelines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As the University gears up for more events on campus, we urge you to share your events to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/calendar.UND.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of North Dakota calendar<\/a>.\u00a0The calendar is the single source for university events and auto-feeds hundreds of web pages throughout our website.<\/p>\n<p>If you haven\u2019t used\u00a0the calendar since December 2020, you will notice that we adopted a new theme that is image heavy to draw attention to events. Please review these best practices when submitting images to the calendar:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The calendar now uses a rectangular image ratio instead of square.<\/li>\n<li>Please be aware that roughly 10-15% of the top and bottom of a square image will be removed when switched to a rectangular format. We are particularly concerned about images with text and closely cropped images of people.<\/li>\n<li>Do NOT use event flyers as an image. There is no need to highlight event details in the image because details will clearly display in the event listing.
