Video: UND hosts 70th Annual Girls State

More than 100 high school students participated in the 70th annual North Dakota Flickertail Girls State June 5-10, 2016, on campus.

Girls State, a program of the American Legion Auxiliary, provides high school seniors-to-be the opportunity to learn about city, county, and state government by running for offices, holding elections, writing laws, and participating in various other activities.

This year’s commencement speaker was Kirsten Baesler, North Dakota Superintendent of Public Instruction.
