Auditions will be held July 22, 23 for ‘The Foreigner’ at Fire Hall Theater

The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre, at home at the Fire Hall Theater, is holding auditions for the 71st season opener on July 22 and 23 at 7 pm.  (You need only attend one night.)

The Foreigner is a delightful romp about a man who pretends to be from an exotic land and does not speak English.  However, because he does understand English, he’s made privy to all sorts of conversations he should not overhear.  When he starts inventing a language of his own, things get even funnier. This is a light-hearted comedy where the “good guys” win out over the “bad guys.”

UND alumna Nicole Quam directs the play, which is slated to open Sept. 27 and runs for three weeks — Thurs. – Sun. performances. She is seeking five men and two women, 20-years and older.  Two men speak with British accents; the rest of the cast speaks with Southern accents (Georgia, specifically).  Ms. Quam requests that people prepare a 30-60 second monologue for the audition.

Also seeking a stage manager and tech director for this production.  Both positions receive a modest stipend. Questions? email www.ggfct.com or call 701-746-0847. www.ggfct.com
