New University IT program, Sassafras, is being deployed across campus

The University Information Technology (UIT) department is currently in the process of deploying a new IT asset management software program to all university-owned devices. The new program, Sassafras, will aid UIT and other units across campus in more effectively managing UND-owned hardware, software, and license compliance, through lifecycle management, purchase tracking, and flexible reporting. 

The installation of the Sassafras program will result in little to no impact on users. However, you may notice a new icon on your menu bar/ list of programs for the Sassafras program on your university-owned device(s).
