Nominations due Oct. 29 for 2022 Sioux Award and Young Alumni Achievement Awards
The campus community is invited to nominate outstanding individuals for either the Young Alumni Achievement Award or the Sioux Award, to be awarded during Homecoming 2022. The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, Oct. 29, 2021. Recipients will be selected and approved by the UND Alumni Association & Foundation Board of Directors.
Young Alumni Achievement Award
Recipients will be individuals who have demonstrated high levels of achievement early in his/her chosen career or profession, who have demonstrated leadership ability or the potential for leadership and distinction in the long term, who have shown support of the University of North Dakota, and who have shown a substantial commitment to the service of others. The award is restricted to young alumnae or alumni aged 40 and under; consideration shall be given to geographic diversity, academic diversity, and class year/target audience. UND graduates and former students are eligible to receive the Young Alumni Achievement Award. There shall be no posthumous awards.
Sioux Award
Sioux Award recipients must have demonstrated an interest in and loyalty to the University of North Dakota by participation in activities and/or support of the University, and/or have demonstrated an expertise in their chosen field and/or business and professional organizations. In developing the slate of recipients for a specified Award ceremony, consideration may be given to geographic diversity, academic diversity, and class year/target audience. UND graduates, former students, and friends are eligible to receive the Sioux Award. UND faculty and staff are not eligible to receive the Sioux Award until two years following the end of their employment. There shall be no posthumous awards.
