Vice president for student affairs search committee named

President Andrew Armacost has launched a search for UND’s next vice president for student affairs.

The new vice president will succeed Beth Hellwig, who began her role as interim vice president for student affairs on Oct. 1, 2021.

Chairing the search committee is Meloney Linder, vice president for marketing and communications.

Other committee members include:

  • Tamba-Kuii Bailey, special assistant to the president for diversity and inclusion
  • Rodney Clark, associate vice president for public safety and chief of police
  • Kaleb Dschaak, Fenworks CEO, UND alumnus
  • Dawson Dutchak, student body vice president, major: human resource management
  • Sara Kaiser, director of office of student rights and responsibilities and disability services for students
  • Beth Klemetsrud, assistant professor of chemical engineering
  • Robert Newman, professor of biology
  • Sarah Owens, student, major: airport management
  • Karyn Plumm, vice provost for student success
  • Sarah Prout, UND Alumni Association & Foundation vice president of marketing and communications
  • Tiana Staudinger, student – Greek life representative, major: biology
  • Karla Mongeon-Stewart, associate vice president for finance
  • Christopher Suriano, director of wellness and health promotion
  • Megan Thomas, associate director of housing operations

Jen Rogers, from Finance & Operations, will serve as chief administrative officer for the search.

Laura Puckett-Boler from Spelman Johnson will assist with the national search. Listening sessions with Puckett-Boler will be held via Zoom the week of January 24. Please participate if you are able.
