UND Facilities Management will be permanently closing the parking lot located north of the Memorial Village development, between University Avenue and 2nd Avenue North, starting Aug. 1.

The east half of the parking lot has been closed since summer 2022 to allow for construction project staging. Preparing for future development, the entirety of the parking lot will now be closed.

The skywalk between the parking ramp and stair tower on the east side of Columbia Road will remain open, as will the sidewalk connections allowing access to the Frederick “Fritz” D. Pollard Jr. Athletic Center, Energy & Environmental Research Center and other destinations to the east of Columbia Road.

UND Parking Services has provided a list of updates and alternative parking options in response to the closure. A full parking map for campus is available online.

  • Designated Greek parking has moved to the Columbia Hall lot
    • More “A/S” designated spaces have been added
  • More “A/S” designated spaces have been added to the Oxford lot
  • Parking Ramp permits are still available, and the number of available permits can increase if necessary
  • Past parking counts show Hyslop and Gustafson (“A”) regularly had vacant parking spaces
