Portions of 2nd Avenue North, North 25th Street near University Avenue closed starting Friday, Sept. 22

This post has been updated to reflect the latest stage of work, extending to 2nd Avenue North, as of Monday, Sept. 25.

Portions of 2nd Avenue North and North 25^th Street immediately north and south of University Avenue are closed to allow for excavation and sewer line installation.

This installation will eventually serve Memorial Village, Memorial Village II and the Fritz Pollard Jr. Athletic Center. The closure is anticipated to last three to four weeks.

See the image below for areas affected. The alley north of University Avenue will be accessible from North 26^th Street during the closure. Please pay attention to road closure and detour signage in the area.
