Specific Objectives:
This course is geared towards students who are interested in entrepreneurship. More specifically, the course will inspire students to learn about developing successful technology ventures by using a holistic approach. In order to fulfill this objective, the course will cover the following aspects in this course:
- How to design a successful start-up, for example, business strategy, business idea generation, etc., (b) how to assemble a focused team for a successful venture, and (c) how to reallocate different resources for the same, for example, human resource management, etc.
- How to promote creativity, and innovation, (b) IP generation, and (c) procedures for product development in different engineering streams (product design/prototype, marketing, pricing, distributing and selling, for example, franchise, etc).
- Presenting a successful investor pitch and writing a successful business plan
