Spring 2022 ENE 590 Courses
ENE 590: Project Dynamics & Strategy Modeling
Course Number:
On-campus: 17281; Online: 17282
Instructor: Dr. Olusegun Stanley Tomomewo
Schedule:
Thursday 9:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
Saturday 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Location: UND Leonard Hall, Room 112
The course is designed to explore the dynamic behavior of engineering projects. We will use Systems Dynamics to examine how project managers and sponsors can adapt to the realities of the complexity, uncertainty, and significant risks that can arise from unclear scope, compressed schedules and changing political and regulatory situations. ENE 590: Managing Energy Resources & Policies
Course Number:
On-campus: 17279; Online: 17280
Instructor: Dr. Olusegun Stanley Tomomewo
Schedule:
Monday 8:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Location: Collaborative Energy Complex (CEC), Room 209
Sustainable generation and use of energy are a priority in today’s energy sector. However, the industry is challenged by constant and increasing uncertainty from volatile global oil and fuel prices, growing pressure to reduce emissions, rapidly developing renewables and energy storage technologies, increasingly burdensome regulations and compliance obligations, and a constantly increasing demand for energy. This course explores the tools that can enable efficient energy systems development and management policies. Click here to view the course flyer.

On-campus: 17283; Online: 17284
Instructor: Dr. Olusegun Stanley Tomomewo
Schedule:
Wednesday 9:05 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.
Friday 9:05 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.
Location: UND Leonard Hall, Room 112
This course applies deterministic, numerical optimization, and troubleshooting methods for finding feasible and optimal solutions to energy systems challenges. The aim is to provide students with the knowledge and framework to apply a systems approach to identifying optimal solutions. This course will include the use of various energy systems optimization software programs and real-world case studies. Click here to view the course flyer.
