Grad students, join us as we celebrate Peer Review Week! The College of Engineering and Mines is offering four workshops/seminars to help you achieve success as a student and in your future careers.

 

Monday, September 19th: 3–4 p.m.

How to Write a Journal Article

Collaborative Energy Complex (CEC), Room 202

Speaker: Dr. Anna Crowell

Participants will learn how to structure their papers, best practices for figures and charts, and choose an appropriate journal.

 

Tuesday, September 20th | 3-4 p.m.

Recognizing and Avoiding Plagiarism

Collaborative Energy Complex (CEC), Room 202

Speaker: Dr. Anna Crowell

Participants will learn the different types of plagiarism, its severity and consequences, and how to read an iThenticate report.

 

Wednesday, September 21st | 12-1 p.m.

The Publishing, Proposal, and Peer Review Process

Speakers: Dr. Sattar Dorafshan, Dr. Prakash Ranganathan, Dr. Surojit Gupta, Dr. Anna Crowell

Participants have the opportunity to discuss the publishing, proposal, and Peer Review process with the leaders of the CEM Research Institutes.
