UND doctoral student awarded ‘outstanding student presentation’ at AGU 2022 meeting

The award, a distinction of the most exceptional presentations, was awarded to Alexis Archambault, a doctoral student at the UND College of Engineering & Mines.

Alexis Archambault, a geological engineering doctoral student, received the Outstanding Student Presentation Award during the American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2022 Fall meeting. This honor is awarded for only the most exceptional presentations during AGU 2022 Fall Meeting.

This is the first time a UND GGE student has received such an AGU-level award in recent years. Alexis’s work demonstrates how the recent wetting changed wetland storage and area and its implications for streamflow generation in a headwater basin draining to Devils Lake.

AGU is a scientific association with a membership of over 26,000 scientists and engineers worldwide. Every year, the AGU hydrology section has over a few thousand student presentations showcasing frontier knowledge of hydrologic science and water resources engineering.
