Library Renovation: 12/17/18

What’s finished?

• Shifting of the book collection on the east side of 3rd floor is finished.
• All of our 1st-floor staff are now in their new temporary spots.
• All microform is now in the Core Library.

What’s happening this week?

• Construction engineers will begin building walls around the project areas, starting on the east side of the 3rd floor where asbestos abatement begins Tuesday (tomorrow).
• Old furniture and shelving will continue to be removed.
• The parking lot behind the Library will no longer be available. Handicapped spots behind O’Kelly, between Merrified and Montgomery, and in the parking ramp are the closest to our building.
