CFL Fall 2022 Software and Technology Workshops
Join Emily Wros the CFL Systems Librarian (who may or may not be a cat) this fall for four software and technology workshops. To find out more about each event and to register, please check out the CFL Events page or check out the descriptions and links below.

Tuesday, September 6th at 3:30pm
Virtual Event
Topics covered will include:
- What information the Chester Fritz Library has about you, what we do with it, and under what circumstances we share it with outside parties.
- Threat modeling. You can’t hide from everyone, so how do you decide which threats to your privacy are the most important?
- What easy measures you can take to protect your privacy.
- Building good information security habits to avoid trouble before it starts.

Tuesday, September 20th at 3:30pm
At CFL in AI/VR Lab
3D scanning equipment is available for use, for free, by all members of the UND community. This workshop is an introduction to the hand-held scanners and image processing software.

At CFL in room 230A
The One Button Studio has video recording and presenting equipment available for use by the UND community. This workshop is a walkthrough of using the studio, from reserving the room, through recording your presentation, to getting access to video editing software.

Tuesday, November 1st at 3:30pm

You don’t need a subscription to expensive software to learn the basics of image editing. This workshop is an introductory walkthrough of GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), a free graphics editor. We’ll learn about different image formats, cropping, resizing, adding text, and more.
