Jacki Lund recognized as UND Social Work Distinguished Alumni

Congratulations to Jacki Lund, recognized as this year’s Social Work Distinguished Alumni Award recipient.

Jacki is an inspiration and an asset to the field of social work. She has served the Grand Forks County Human Service Zone (GFCHSZ) for 26 years. Despite now being retired, Jacki is always eager to share with various community groups about foster children’s needs. She delivers a compelling message that inspires others to contribute in ways they have never thought of. Once an intern at GFCHSZ, she excelled in molding, training, encouraging, and supporting social work students during their internships. Jacki still offers up her retirement time to visit foster children across the state. Jacki very much values relationships and understands this is the key to creating and supporting change in others.
