Sweet Spirit, CNPD Style

The UND Homecoming parade was buzzing with energy as student groups including the Nursing Student Association (NSA), Nursing Student Council (NSC), Student Social Work Association (SSWA), and the Student Association of Nutrition & Dietetics (SAND) rolled out a creative and vibrant CNPD float.

Tailgating and Community Connection

After the parade, alumni, students, and friends gathered at the CNPD Tailgate Tent at the Alerus Center.

CNPD Dean Maridee Shogren said the Homecoming tailgate is a unique opportunity and a special time to reconnect with CNPD alumni:

One of the best parts of UND Homecoming is visiting with CNPD alumni who come back to share stories of their time on campus. It does not matter how many years it has been since their graduation, each person remembers something really special about our college.

When the rain began, the tent provided a welcoming spot to continue celebrating. Attendees mingled, shared stories, and reminisced with alumni and past faculty from Nursing, Social Work, and Nutrition & Dietetics. A total of 170 people were served, making the tailgate a memorable opportunity to connect with CNPD.
