- Barbara Kitko had a presentation, “Ethical Considerations in Trauma-Informed Care” for ND Long-Term Care Association, which was delivered at the North Dakota Long-Term Care Association Fall Conference. The presentation was tailored for interprofessional healthcare teams, including social workers, nursing professionals, and administrators.
- Dr. Rhoda Owens gave a presentation, “Professionalism and Professional Identity in Nursing: Clarification Can Strengthen the Profession” at the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing Annual Symposium: A Virtual Event, Charting a New Path Forward.
- Dr. Nathaniel Johnson had a publication, titled Forkfuls of Clarity: The Lean Protein Prescription, published in Scientia. The piece included collaborative research work with NDSU.
- Dr. Sydney Johnson, a recent PhD Nursing graduate, had her manuscript from her dissertation, Moral distress: Exploring the experiences of rural clinic nurses published in Nursing Ethics. Dr. Rhoda Owens advisor and Dr. Dawn Denny served as her co-advisors.
- Dr. Jeffrey Anvari-Clark has published a book, Financial and Behavioral Health for Helping Professionals. The book is intended for both graduate students and practitioners and features case studies to help answer questions about financial issues within social work. The Chester Fritz Library has made it available as open access, but hard and soft cover versions are available to purchase.
- Dr. June-Yung Kim, Prof. Shanna Urban, Dr. Wendelin Hume (Criminal Justice), and MSW students Alynza Welk and Sara Dauphinais, presented a continuing education (CE) training titled “Ethical Social Work Practice with Native American Women: Social Determinants of Prenatal Substance Use,” reflected Dr. Kim’s ITRRC-funded pilot study and was recently introduced as a poster presentation at the 71st Annual Program Meeting of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) in Denver, CO.
- Jeffrey Anvari Clark and coauthors had an article published titled Financial social work: A primer in Social Work.
- Jeffrey Anvari Clark had an article titled Financial health is behavioral health: Enhancing integrated care practice, published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Social Work
