- The North Dakota Nursing Research Collaborative (NDNRC) Simulation Team, consisting of the CNPD’s Dr. Mary Jane Rivard, Dr. Amber Johnson, Dr. Jana Zwilling, and Minot State’s Dr. Jamie Hammer has had their publication entitled: Simulation in RN Education in North Dakota: Potential for Increasing Program Capacities While Decreasing Clinical Placement Challenges, accepted for publication in the Journal of Professional Nursing. This manuscript highlights the NDNRC’s work toward understanding simulation use in ND nursing schools and the extent this can potentially reduce burden on clinical placement. The first project was beneficial in providing evidence to support increased simulation funding during the last legislative session. The Simulation Team of Dr. Mary Jane Rivard, Dr. Kevin Buettner, Dr. Sydney Johnson, and Dr. Jana Zwilling, is currently hard at work analyzing data for the second iteration of this project.
