Nistler College Students Gain Real-World Experience Through Professional Sales Training Workshop
Ten selected sales students at the UND Nistler College of Business & Public Administration participated in a Professional Sales Training Workshop on Tuesday, October 13, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience to prepare for careers in professional sales.

Led by Jonathan Warrey and Hunter Baltema of Marco, the workshop was made possible through a partnership between Warrey, former Marco COO and current board member who also serves in the North Dakota Legislature; Brooks Group Professional Sales Assessments; and the UND Marketing Department.
The workshop took place in the Faculty Success Suite on the first floor of Nistler Hall, home to the Marco Professional Sales Suite. Featuring three recording-capable rooms for simulated sales meetings and a shared conference room, the suite provides students with opportunities to practice and refine their sales skills in a professional setting.
The Marco Professional Sales Suite was made possible through generous gifts from UND alumnus and Marco founder Gary Marsden, along with Marco executives Jeff Gau and Jonathan Warrey. Marsden and Dave Marquardt purchased a typewriter shop in St. Cloud, Minnesota, in 1973, laying the foundation for what would become Marco.
Through partnerships with industry leaders and hands-on learning opportunities, the Nistler College continues to connect students with the professional expertise, practical experience and relationships they need to succeed in today’s business environment.
