UND residence halls get private bedrooms!

Is your student coming to UND to make friends and build connections? Have concerns about COVID-19 but still looking for that traditional on-campus college experience?

Great news! UND will be open in the fall and offering an on-campus experience that supports your student’s success and the health and well-being of our community. Your student will meet friends, build connections and still be close to classes.

UND is offering private bedrooms in all of our residence halls for fall 2020, including University Place, and we’re also updating common spaces to facilitate physical distancing.

If your student is looking for the traditional on-campus experience, we’re offering the following options:

  • Community-style residence halls where students will have a private bedroom but share common spaces with friends and neighbors.
  • Suite-style residence halls where students will have a “suitemate” to share common spaces but each keep their own bedroom. There are a limited number of suite-style rooms available, so the sooner your student applies for housing, the better!

Check out our virtual residence hall tours to learn more about the different housing styles available.

If your student hasn’t completed the housing application for fall 2020 yet, now’s the time! Complete the housing application ASAP to be in the first round of room selections that will begin June 1. Keep in mind the $200 confirmation deposit must be paid at least two business days before May 27 (if your student hasn’t already) to be included in the first round of the room reselection process.

If you have any questions on the housing application process, we’re offering a New Student Open Forum from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 19.
