Matthew Cziep to give Surgery Grand Rounds talk on Prehabilitation Friday, April 5

Matthew Cziep, MD, a PGY-III resident in the UND Department of Surgery, will present a talk entitled “PreHab: Can pre-operative diet and exercise improve outcomes?” at Sanford Health – Broadway in Fargo, N.D., from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2019. All are welcome to attend.

The objectives of the talk are to:

  • Identify the most common risk factors for surgical morbidity and mortality
  • Define frailty, and know at least one screening tool to assess or identify frail patients
  • Discuss current literature regarding surgical prehab
  • Answer questions from patients regarding preoperative activity levels
