TLAS to host clinical precepting panel virtually on May 15

The Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLAS) unit of Education Resources will host an insightful faculty development panel on clinical precepting on Wednesday, May 15, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. (Central).

Join us virtually on Zoom! This session will also be recorded for those unable to attend live.

This session brings together a distinguished panel of experts from across the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences (SMHS). Hear from seasoned professionals including Jeff Hostetter, M.D. (program director of the Bismarck Center for Family Medicine), Cherie Graves, Ph.D., OTR/L (academic fieldwork coordinator and assistant professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy), Mindy Staveteig, PA-C (director of clinical education and assistant professor in the Department of Physician Assistant Studies), Christopher Tiongson, M.D. (chair, residency program director, and clinical professor in the Department of Pediatrics), and Steven Westereng, Ph.D., ATC (chair and associate professor in the Department of Sports Medicine).

This interprofessional panel will share their valuable precepting experiences and practical strategies to help all students learn and be prepared for their respective fields. Whether you’re a seasoned preceptor or new to the role, this session promises to equip you with the knowledge and tools to elevate your precepting skills and foster exceptional learning experiences for your students. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with your peers, gain insights from leaders, and enhance your precepting expertise.
