Robin McLeod to give Paul and Barbara MacGregor Lectureship Oct. 4

Vice President of Clinical Programs and Quality Initiatives at the University of Toronto’s Department of Surgery Cancer Care Ontario, Robin McLeod, MD, FRCSC, will speak on “Surgeons’ role in Quality Improvement Initiatives” from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, in the UND Medical Education Center auditorium. All are welcome to attend. The talk represents the UND Department of Surgery’s Paul & Barbara MacGregor Lectureship for 2019.

The objectives of Dr. McLeod’s talk are to help listeners:

  • Understand the role of surgeons in developing and implementing quality initiatives
  • Understand strategies used for implementing quality initiatives
  • Understand the principles of Enhanced Recovery after surgery
  • Understand recommendations for prescribing pain medication at discharge following elective surgery
