Community Showcases across N.D. this spring promote regional health care opportunities

A number of community showcases across North Dakota are scheduled this Spring for anyone interested in pursuing health careers in rural or semi-rural facilities.

Sponsored by UND’s Center for Rural Health, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, and Area Health Education Center Program, the events offer the opportunity for future health care professionals and their significant others to learn about practice opportunities as well as discover what it’s like to live, work, and raise families in those communities.

All events begin with appetizers at 5:30 p.m. on the dates below (except March 12), followed by community introductions at 6 p.m. From 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. participants have a chance to socialize and connect with people from local health facilities.

Community showcases will be held:

  • March 9 at Trinity Health Center-Riverside in Minot
  • March 12 at Altru Family Medicine Residency in Grand Forks (this event will begin at 5 p.m. with a residency panel)
  • March 12 at UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Southeast Campus in Fargo (this event will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.)
  • April 8 at Boniface Auditorium at St. Alexius Health in Bismarck

Students and residents interested in any of the events are asked to register here.
