Postpartum Support International to host three perinatal care workshops Sept. 14-16

Postpartum Support International (PSI) is sponsoring three perinatal CME events to be held in the region in September.

Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care

  • Sept. 14-15: Moorhead, Minn., at the Courtyard by Marriott Hotel
  • Training faculty: Crystal Clancy, LMFT, PMH-C; Katie Kmiecik, LCPC, PMH-C; and Samantha Huguelet, DNP, APRN, CNS, PMH-C
  • Registration includes training manual, light breakfast, lunch, beverages, and certification of continuing education. Cost is discounted if you are a PSI member, PSI volunteer, or student. The fee for continuing education certification is included in the registration fee.Continuing education certificates will be emailed approximately three weeks after the training event. Candidates for continuing education certification must document their  time at the event by signing in and out of the event.

Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy

  • The PSI Perinatal Psychopharmacology Advanced Training, provided by perinatal psychiatric experts, is an evidence-based training on psychiatric prescribing during pregnancy and lactation. It is designed for psychiatric prescribers who have previously completed at least fourteen hours of perinatal mental health training. This advanced training combines expert presentation with case studies, group discussion, and practical examples. It is an interactive, case-based advanced seminar, covering differential diagnosis, medication challenges, and your questions. This course is an approved prerequisite for the perinatal mental health certification in the psychopharmacology specialty.
