Balwinder Singh presents Psychiatry Grand Rounds on depression and ketamine Nov. 17

Balwinder Singh, M.D., will present “Ketamine for Treatment-Resistant Depression: An Update!” from 12:10 p.m. to 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. This broadcast will be held via Zoom/video conferencing. Dr. Singh is an assistant professor of psychiatry at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science in Rochester, Minn., and director of the Mood Program at the Mayo Clinic Depression Center.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Describe the background of ketamine.
  • Recognize the evidence base of intravenous ketamine and intranasal esketamine in treatment-resistant depression.
  • Review the evidence base of long-term ketamine/esketamine therapy.

This Grand Rounds presentation, sponsored by the UND School of Medicine and Health Sciences and the School’s Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science, is broadcast via video conference to many sites throughout North Dakota and Minnesota and is also streamed via personal computers.
