Research Tip: The Award Budget Set-up (ABS) form
Researchers! Note that effective June 1, 2002, there is a new process for the Award Budget Set-up (ABS) form:
- Department (PI or Admin) fills out ABS form.
- Department (PI or Admin) sends ABS form to Research Affairs along with Award Notice and Proposal.
- Research Affairs reviews and works with Department on any form changes.
- Research Affairs sends completed ABS form to Grants & Contracts Accounting for Project Set-up.
This new process will help with the accuracy of both award reporting and effort forms that include cost shared effort.
Research Affairs will respond timely to the ABS form review and will not hold up the process to set up new projects.
