Dr. Jim Roerig retirement reception to be held virtually on June 29

Jim Roerig, Pharm.D., a longtime professor in the SMHS Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Science, will retire at the end of the month.

To celebrate, a virtual reception in Jim’s honor will be held on Wednesday, June 29, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. at: https://und.zoom.us/j/93651114668.

Jim has had an illustrious career, including 21 years with the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. A board-certified psychiatric pharmacist and professor, Dr. Roerig has served as assistant residency program director and Clerkship Director and has led numerous committees for the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science. He has also been a voting member of the UND Institutional Review Board for many years. Jim is a member of the AOA Honor Medical Society and has been recognized multiple times as outstanding teacher of the year by psychiatry residents. Dr. Roerig has refereed or reviewed dozens of academic journals and has been lauded for his expertise in the psychopharmacology of eating disorders and treatment resistant schizophrenia.
