UND Internal Medicine to host Grand Rounds event on sickle cell disease Jan. 17

The next UND Department of Internal Medicine Grand Rounds event, “Sickle Cell Disease,” will be broadcast via Zoom from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024. This presentation features Julia Parrish, M.D., a second-year fellow in the School’s Sanford Health-based Hematology and Oncology Fellowship Program in Fargo, N.D.

Upon completion of this program, the learner will be able to:

  • Recognize who gets sickle cell disease.
  • Identify what we need to know about the biology of sickle cell disease.
  • Describe how sickle cell disease affects each organ system.
