Victoria Haynes to host lunchtime Dean’s Hour presentation on the social determinants of health April 18

The SMHS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office is sponsoring a Dean’s Hour event on Thursday, April 18.

At noon on April 18, Dr. Victoria Haynes, associate dean for multicultural education, will present “A collaborative approach to addressing social determinants of health.” During this session, participants will learn about the five domain groups related to the social determinants of health (SDOH) and how to address SDOH using a collaborative approach. Interprofessional collaboration strategies will be discussed along with ways to translate these strategies into practice.
