Upcoming Wadhwani Family Dean’s Hour events to feature Alana Knudson and AAMC President David Skorton!

As the academic year winds down, the SMHS Dean’s Office would like to remind everyone of the final three Wadhwani Family Dean’s Hour events:

April 3 Alana Knudson, Ph.D., will discuss financing in rural healthcare. A former researcher at the UND Center for Rural Health, Dr. Knudson is director of the NORC Walsh Center for Rural Health Analysis at the University of Chicago. Connect via Zoom.

April 17Dr. David Skorton, president of the Association of American Medical Colleges, will participate in an active discussion about “what we didn’t get done” with former SMHS Dean Dr. Joshua Wynne – including addressing the nation’s ongoing health provider shortage, disparities in health outcomes, and how every individual can make a difference. Connect via Zoom.

May 1Dr. Joshua Wynne, professor in the SMHS Department of Internal Medicine, will discuss health and healthcare in North Dakota and beyond, focusing on the state’s continuing challenges and some possible solutions. (Zoom link forthcoming.)

All events will be held in SMHS Room E101 (the Fee Auditorium) at noon.
