Jil Fiemeyer
Jil Fiemeyer is a marketing specialist within the Office of Alumni & Community Relations at the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences. Jil’s position was created, in part, in response to the School’s new ND85 effort to recruit and retain more North Dakota students across the M.D. and health sciences programs, as well as recruit medical school grads into our statewide medical residency programs. In addition to her SMHS duties, Jil will work with UND’s Marketing and Communications team, plus the School’s many partners and stakeholders, to increase prospective students’ awareness of healthcare careers and SMHS educational programs.
Prior to joining UND, she most recently served as a high school teacher, where she taught marketing and REACH courses focused on career readiness, relationships, and personal development. Her professional background also includes experience as a communications coordinator at Astera Health Care in Wadena, Minn., and Immanuel St. Joseph’s–Mayo Health System in Mankato, Minn. Originally from Minnesota, Jil earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and marketing from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul and a master’s degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul. Outside of her professional role, she is the founder of the Princess Warrior Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and funds for childhood cancer families and research.
