NDBIN Virtual Concussion Symposium to be held online Sept. 18
The 2026 Virtual Concussion Symposium is being held on Sept. 18 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Central). The symposium is free to attend and registration is open. Presentations feature new concussion research, trends, practice strategies, and collaborative models of care. The symposium is facilitated by the North Dakota Brain Injury Network (NDBIN) at the Center for Rural Health (CRH) within the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences.
“Concussion care continues to evolve, and staying informed about the latest research and best practices is essential for the professionals who support individuals with brain injuries,” said Rebecca Quinn, principal investigator of NDBIN and associate director of CRH. “This symposium provides an opportunity to learn from experts across a variety of disciplines and bring new knowledge and strategies back to the communities they serve.”
If interested parties are unable to attend the live sessions, registered participants will receive access to speakers’ slides and recordings for 30 days after the symposium for viewing at an alternative time.

- Helping Young Children After Acquired Brain Injury: Best Practices in Identification and Intervention – Jennifer Lundine, Ph.D., CCC-SLP
- Building Capacity and Sustainability Through Tier 1 Concussion Management in Schools – Kiki Grenning, M.S., OTR/L, CPRCS
- “I’m Fine, Ref”: Concussion Underreporting and the Culture of Playing Through Symptoms in Youth Sports – Liam Ghahreman, B.S.
