INMED Works: Health Professions Career Expo @SMHS on Nov. 13

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 13, the nation’s original Indigenous healthcare provider training program, UND’s Indians Into Medicine (INMED) program, is hosting the INMED Works: Health Professions Career Expo in the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences Grand Forks building.

All UND students interested in clinical care, biomedical research, public health, and the health sciences are encouraged to attend to meet with potential employers, including Mayo Clinic, Indian Health Service, and several local healthcare providers.

The Expo will include an event that INMED is calling “The Hustle,” a “Shark Tank”-style room where health providers are given a limit of 10 minutes each to pitch their organization to a room full of soon-to-be grads. “We wanted something a little more robust than just expecting the students to walk up and down the aisles,” said INMED Program Manager Danielle Thompson. “Instead of just meeting with one student at a time, we wanted to give these employers an opportunity to be in a room with not only our students but our graduate directors, our clinical placement coordinators, our department admins.”

Registration is not required, but is encouraged via Handshake using the following process:
