Memorial for former MLS chair Wayne Bruce to be held at SMHS on Sept. 27

UND’s Department of Medical Laboratory Science, along with former SMHS staffer Judy Bruce, is hosting a memorial service for former MLS chair Wayne Bruce (1947-2003) on Friday, Sept. 27.

The memorial service will be held in SMHS Rm. W202 from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

After chairing the UND School of Medicine & Health Sciences MLS program from 1978 to 2003, Wayne took the position of Associate Dean of Continuing Health Professional Education at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine in Thunder Bay, Ontario. He retired with Judy in 2007, but passed away in 2023 at age 76.

The Bruce family welcomes guests who are encouraged to come remember Wayne as part of the School’s 75th anniversary of Medical Laboratory Science at UND.
