2026 Midyear: 5 Resources Worth (Re)visiting
July is a great time to look at the resources we have available. Whether you are doing research, getting ready for clinical rotations, or planning for the fall semester, here are five library services worth checking out again.
Connect with Your Librarian
Our librarians are embedded in academic programs and clinical campuses to support students, faculty, residents, and researchers. Whether you are starting a literature review, searching for evidence, or have a research question, your librarian is ready to assist you.
Stay Current with Medical Research
From research projects and poster presentations to manuscripts and evidence-based practice, librarians can help you find reliable information, improve your search strategy, and navigate the research process with confidence.
Your Library Goes Wherever You Do
Since our collection is mostly digital, you can access journals, ebooks, and medical databases wherever you learn—from Grand Forks to rural clinical sites and everywhere in between.
Don’t Forget About Interlibrary Loan
Need an article or book we don’t have? Before buying it yourself, request it through Interlibrary Loan (ILL). We can often get materials from other libraries at no cost to you.
Explore the UND Scholarly Commons
Discover research from UND faculty, staff, and students—or learn how to share your own scholarly work through the UND Scholarly Commons.
We’re Here to Help
Whatever your role at SMHS, our team is here to help you find information, access the resources you need, and achieve your goals. As you head into the second half of 2026, take a few minutes to revisit a library service, discover one that’s new to you, or simply reconnect with your librarian. You might be surprised by how much the library can help.
