Dr. Seelan named “Outstanding Student Organization Advisor” for 2010-11
At the UND Memorial Union Leadership Awards Ceremony held on April 29th, 2011, Dr. Santhosh Seelan, Chair and Professor, Department of Space Studies, was recognized as an “Outstanding Student Organization Advisor”This award recognizes student organization advisors for their commitment and dedication to students and their campus involvement. Dr. Seelan was nominated by members from the International Organization, a student organization he advised during the last year. The award citation read “the International Organization is what it is today because of Dr. Seelan’s continued efforts and contributions to the organization over the years”
This is the second time in three years Dr. Seelan has received this award.
The International Organization which organizes the popular “Feast of Nations” in spring of each year, and other events throughout the year, also was recognized as the “Student Organization of the Year” among the more than 200 student organizations on campus.
