Aerospace PhD Update

In spring 2011, we gave an update that mentioned the Stage II proposal for Ph.D. in Aerospace Studies, a joint program between aviation and space studies departments of the John D. Odegard School of Aerospace Sciences, was approved by the UND’s Graduate Committee. This was a major step in the rigorous approval process – the proposal is now ready to make its way through to the University Curriculum Committee, the Dean’s Council, Provost, President, and the State Board of Higher Education. The delay has been due to the difficulty in establishing the financial resources needed to start, and to run the program. The situation now looks promising for a fall 2012 start to the program. Once all the approvals are obtained, we hope to make a formal announcement later this fall or in early spring 2012. Stay tuned…
