Brown Bag Series on October 14th to feature Dr. Vishnu Reddy

The Brown Bag Seminar series continues tomorrow, Friday, October 14th featuring Space Studies faculty researcher, Dr. Vishnu Reddy. He will give a presentation on his current DAWN research.  Please join us at noon in the space studies library tomorrow.  Lunch will be provided.

Topic:  NASA’s Dawn Mission to Asteroid Vesta: Latest Results

About the topic:   NASA’s Dawn Mission is a discovery class mission which is currently on a one-year orbital mapping mission of asteroid Vesta, before it proceeds on to its second target Ceres. Working as part of the camera team means Dr Reddy is one of the first few people to look at the images of Vesta as they are beamed back to Earth from the Dawn spacecraft. The talk will focus on preliminary findings about Vesta’s composition from Dawn mission.
