Dr. Casler’s Award Winning Paper Published in “COCKPIT”

In late September, Jim Casler presented a paper titled, “Facility Layout Optimization of Planetary Industrial Sites” at the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics SPACE 2011 conference in Long Beach, CA. Also in September, his paper titled “Flight Testing and High Reliability Organizations” was recognized at the awards ceremony of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots annual Symposium as receiving an honorable mention for the best article published in COCKPIT magazine and the Salmon Award. The paper had been published in the January – June issue of COCKPIT.

Casler has also been recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots Foundation and is the head of the Steering/Strategic Planning Committee on the Foundation Board.
